Biography
Attorney Sarah A. Wolf joined Finneran & Nicholson as an associate in 2020 and focuses her practice on real estate law, including but not limited to residential and commercial closings, zoning, and land use matters. Prior to joining Finneran & Nicholson, Sarah worked for several years at a prominent title company in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where she gained extensive experience handling closings from start to finish, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and pleasant process for all parties. During her years with the title company, she also drafted various real-estate related legal documents, including purchase and sales agreements, notes, mortgages, and deeds. Before her title company role, she worked in-house for a large company in Beverly, Massachusetts managing litigation support and for a small general practice firm in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, drafting and researching in various practice areas.
Attorney Wolf earned her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2012, where she was a recipient of the Equal Justice America Fellowship and the Public Interest Project grant for her work with domestic violence victims. For her undergraduate degree, Attorney Wolf attended Brandeis University, where she graduated in 2009 with her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in History with high honors on her senior thesis and with three minors in Spanish, Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, and Legal Studies. She also studied abroad during college at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland, focusing on international law and British history.
Attorney Wolf is very active in her community, and is a member of Women's Business League, the Seacoast Board of Realtors, the Greater Newburyport Association of Realtors, the Greater Newburyport Bar Association, and the Rockingham County Bar Association. She is a past board member of the New Hampshire Women's Bar Association and has volunteered with several local nonprofits including the New Hampshire Housing Partnership and New Hampshire Legal Assistance. Attorney Wolf enjoys legal writing and her work has been published by the New Hampshire Bar News and the National Business Institute.
